Last night the lower Applegate was almost in fishable shape, and the middle Rogue was looking like it would fish in a day or two. Overnight that all changed. The storm that moved in last night blew out the rivers agian. Here is the Gold Ray gauge as of 4:00pm today:
With it not even peaking yet we’re looking at another week of the rivers being blown out, and possibly longer if we get another storm. That leaves the very upper stretch of the Rogue as the only steelhead fishing in the area right now. As of 3:00pm flows out of Lost Creek reservoir were at 1400cfs and rising. That will definitely get the fish moving in that upper section so look for decent fishing, but it also being very crowded.
