Discussion boards are all over the internet, and cover just about any topic you can imagine. For those of you who are addicted to fishing, like me, you may be looking for a place to talk fishing with other people. These fishing forums are great places to find tons of information on just about anything you can think to ask. You can find out how the fishing is in a particular area, or how to cure up a specific bait, or even just people sharing their pictures from a recent trip. If you’re looking for a forum that is local to us I’ve got a couple of suggestions.
O.F.F. is a great forum for any Oregon fisherman. It breaks down the entire state into different sections, so you can find posts or ask questions for a specific water body. It has a great community will several people from the southern part of the state offering up stories and advice. If you’re looking for information on any fishery in the state this is the place to go.
Ifish is the largest forum for Oregon anglers. Most of the users are from northern Oregon, or SW Washington, but there are still a few of us from the southern part of the state. This is the place to go when you’re looking for any kind of advice on salmon, steelhead, trout, or bass fishing. The archives of the site have a huge wealth of information, so be sure to do a search before asking. You can find plenty of tips on pretty much any type of fishing, plus how to cure bait, or even tie a sliding mooching rig. The information on the site is pretty much limitless which makes it a great place to check out…One note about the site though…It has recently undergone a transfer of the management and isn’t quite the same as it used to be. There are still plenty of great people on the site, but the new owners seem more interested in making money than about the community.
If you check out either of forums, you can find me under the moniker of: eat, sleep, fish. Both forums are very friendly so be sure to stop by and say hi.
