Didn’t get home until dark last night, but had a good view of the fire here in southern Oregon. Luckily we’ve got the freeway, and Rogue River between us and the fire.
Here’s the view from our back porch last night…
It was pretty intense watching the fire spread across the hill last night, especially when the wind shifted.
This morning there is a constant buzz of helicopters, and the south face of the hill is completely scorched. The Mailtribune is reporting that the fire doubled in size last night, and is only 40% contained. No houses have been caught in it, but there are some threatened.
You can find the latest new about the fire on the Mailtribune Website.
